Call the Nanny are working with a lovely family known to the agency. The agency has placed their previous Nanny who has been with them for 16 months. The position involves supporting a student nurse with her 4 children (all girls) aged 14, 9, 8 and 3 years old whilst she is on her final block of placements at Poole Hospital. The Nanny will arrive at 6am and assist with getting the children up and dressed in the morning, preparing breakfast and dropping the children off to school and nursery (leaving the house at 8am and finishing at 8.30am). The eldest child walks herself to and from school. In the afternoon the Nanny will pick up the youngest 3 children from their local school/after school club and nursery, then take them home and follow the afternoon/evening routine staying until 8pm when the mother returns home from work. During term-time pick up will be from 4pm and in the school holidays (from 21st July) the children will attend holiday clubs and be picked up from 5pm. The afternoon/evening routine will involve preparing snacks after school, preparing a simple evening meal, helping with homework/reading, overseeing showers/bathtime and getting the children ready for bed/putting the youngest to bed. The 14 year old is very independent and enjoys her own space. During the school holidays she may wish to socialise with friends and this is fine as long as she keeps both the Nanny and mother informed of her whereabouts. The girls are caring, energetic and very loving. They have enjoyed being with their previous Nanny and doing lots of fun, stimulating activities. The Nanny has very much become part of the family. They enjoy helping around the house and getting involved with cooking the evening meal. They are very active and love playing games and bouncing on the trampoline in the garden or going to the park in good weather. The mother is happy for the Nanny to use her initiative. Her main priority is that the children are safe, cared for, and supported. Play dates may occasionally be requested during the holidays, but these would always be agreed in advance and not placed as pressure on the nanny. May involve dropping the children off to their friends houses. What the family are looking for: * Confident and experienced caring for four children * Reliable and punctual * Driver with own car (essential) * Comfortable with school and holiday club runs * Able to prepare simple evening meals * Support homework where needed * Calm, organised, and able to manage a lively household * Flexible within the agreed shift structure * Must have a current DBS police check and paediatric first aid training This is a temporary but very important role during the mother’s final placement block, so consistency and reliability are essential.
